Guest house "Leben am See" - welcome to a special place!
You can expect a small, fine holiday home for 2 to 4 people, which we have ecologically renovated and newly furnished with attention to detail - so that you can feel completely comfortable. And if something is missing, please let us know.
The natural property is located directly on the lake and is home to many wild animals - from kingfishers and great egrets to bats and eagle owls, which circle in the evenings. Sometimes a deer trots past, and in summer the nightingale sings after sunset. Our own chickens run around freely and lay fresh eggs every day, some of the animals are tame.
Whether you are looking for a relaxing retreat or want to be active, a lot is possible here - in a unique environment:
Come down
Simply let your legs dangle on the bridge or in the hammocktte swing - there are lots of cozy places and a large terrace just for you. On cool evenings, a wood stove in the house provides cozy warmth.
Be active
Our property is within walking distance of the Kreidesee. , in more immediate There are attractive running and cycling paths nearby, and lakes invite you to swimn, fishing and the chalk lake even for diving. You can Moorlandscapeen explore, Hike on the mud flats or sail on the Oste.
Fun for children
The Holiday home is made for children. Under the roof you have your own area for sleeping & playing - with a lake view. There's a lot of fresh air outsidet, animals and space for running around, being creative and making fire. In the house and garden there is almost everything for a relaxed family life. Work inspired
If you want to work on a project in peace, this is the right place for you. There is fast internet thanks to fiber optic cables and an inspiring environment. We work here ourselves - connected to the world. Open your laptop and off you go!
Guest house
The guest hous is furnished with attention to detail. On the ground floor you will find the living room with fireplace, dining area and kitchenette. There is also a bedroom with a double bed and a walk-in closet as well as the bathroom. From both, the living room and the bedroom you have direct access to the sun terrace.
A stairway ladder leads from the living area to the attic. The attic is particularly suitable for children because the headroom is limited. Here they have their own space to play and sleep in - the two single beds can be pushed together if necessary. Under the roof it's also ideal for reading or meditating with a view of the lake.
Property
The terrace is just for you and you are welcome to also use the large garden. Here you can just unwind - there is a hammock, a wooden walkway by the pond, a seating area here and there, some with a view on the water. You can sit sheltered in the pavilion, next to which you will find a grill - all at your free disposal.
There is space for children to run around, a swing, a fireplace and much to discover. If you like, come along feed ducks, geese and chickens and collect eggs - when not breeding. The animals run around freely, some of them are tame.
You can find parking optionsdirectly at the house - not just for your car, there is also a lockable shed for bicycles, strollers, diving equipment - or whatever you have with you.

Culinary Delights
There are several restaurants around - from home cooking to Asian. Homemade cakes & tortes are available in the summer on Sundays and public holidays in the Portland Café directly across the street. In the surrounding farm shops you can find fresh vegetables, game and meat from home-raised animals. In the neighbouring town, pasta is made in the "Nudelschmiede".
Swimming & Bathe
There are several bathing lakes in the area: the Sandgrube in Klint, the Ostewelle indoor pool with the bathing lake Heidestrandbad and in the neighboring town a swimming pool with a 100 m long water slide that is independent of the weather - and a few insider tips. A little further away: the brine thermal baths in Otterndorf and the North Sea.
Biking & Hiking
Hemmoor is located on the Elbe Cycle Path and the North Sea Coast Cycle Path. There are varied cycling routes and running routes along the Oste, through moorland and around lakes, even little-known mountain bike trails are nearby. For treasure hunters there is geocaching with GPS device rental in the neighboring town.
Culture
Anyone interested in industrial culture will be pleased right on our doorstep, in the Hemmoor Cement Museum and on the Zement-Erlebnis-Weg (Cement Experience Trail).
There is the Kunsthaus in Stade and the Auswanderer Museum (Emigration Museum) in Bemerhaven - and Hamburg with museums, theaters and the Elphi is not far either.
Diving & Water Sports
Our property is within walking distance of the Kreidesee diving center, one of the top diving spots in Europe. The Oste River is a natural paradise and ideal for water sports and fishing. There is a canoe rental, a motorboat to rent in Osten and guided boat tours. Not far away, in Neuhaus, there is a water ski facility.
Fishing
In Hemmoor there is a dedicated fishing club that has leased several lakes. Day tickets are available for tourists. With this you can go fishing - at Hemmer See, where our property is located, around the corner at Tonsee or in Heeßel at a lonely natural lake. And in river Oste there are even salmon!
